In the past couple of years, I’ve managed to pull off 5 domestic trips and 3 international trips all for vacation and leisure. I was able to go on these trips without breaking the bank. Traveling doesn’t have to cost a fortune. It’s all about planning and taking advantage of tools that are right at our fingertips!
A little while back, I tweeted a screenshot of my Level “spendables” page. Right away, I received replies asking me what app I was using and how it was working out. Although Level is the most functional and user-friendly app I’ve ever used to track my spending, it’s only a little part of how I keep from going over-budget. Some of my methods are a bit archaic and old-fashioned, while others are habits I’ve developed over the years.
I can’t go a day without snacking. If you’re like me and love snacks, it can be hard to keep yourself from indulging. I used to eat something sweet at about 2:30pm everyday at work, just to get myself back up and alert. Nowadays, I’m trying to build better habits. I’m actually eating more than I used to, but filling my appetite with anything besides what’s in the vending machine. When I need a pick-me-up, I usually try to get my hands on these snacks!
